To search pixiv from MultiScraper (or any pixiv API tool), you need a pixiv refresh token. MultiScraper includes a helper that gets one in about two minutes. Here is the whole process.
Before you start
You need a free pixiv account and the MultiScraper folder unzipped. That is all.
Get the token
- Install Python once. Double-click setup-python.bat. It sets up the small Python environment the login helper needs, into a local .venv folder.
- Run pixiv-login.bat. Double-click pixiv-login.bat. A browser window opens on pixiv's login page.
- Sign in to pixiv. Log in with your normal free pixiv account and approve the request.
- Let the helper capture the token. The helper reads the OAuth response and prints your refresh token. It is saved automatically to the app's local .env file.
- Start searching. Restart MultiScraper if it was open. pixiv is now one of the sources your searches hit.
Troubleshooting
- The browser did not open. Run
setup-python.batfirst, then trypixiv-login.batagain. - Login succeeded but no token appeared. Make sure you approved the request in the same browser window the helper opened.
- Searches return nothing from pixiv. Restart the app so it reloads the
.envfile.
