MultiScraper is a free, local pixiv downloader for Windows. Write a tag query once, watch every matching illustration stream into a single preview grid, and save the ones you keep as full-resolution originals — no browser extension and no coding. Because it searches kemono and DeviantArt at the same time, one search covers all three sites.
What you can do
- Search pixiv by tag, including multi-tag queries with OR and exclusions — see the search syntax guide.
- Preview as it downloads. Images appear in the grid while the search runs; keep or drop each with one key.
- Save clean folders of full-resolution originals with near-duplicates removed, plus optional caption files or a kohya dataset layout.
- Browse offline. Everything you have downloaded stays searchable by tag and source with no connection.
Set up the pixiv key
pixiv needs a free API key. MultiScraper ships a helper that gets one for you: run pixiv-login.bat, sign in, and it writes a refresh token to the app's local .env file. The full walkthrough is in how to get a pixiv refresh token.
Download pixiv images in four steps
- Add a pixiv key. Run pixiv-login.bat once to get a refresh token. MultiScraper stores it in the local .env file.
- Search by tag. Type a tag query and press Run search. pixiv results stream into the preview grid with every other source you enabled.
- Keep what you want. Everything is kept by default. Press X to drop an image, K to keep it again.
- Save to a folder. Name a folder and press Save kept images. Full-resolution originals land in datasets\<name>.
Tip: press X to drop an image and K to keep it again. Nothing is written to disk until you press Save kept images.
Responsible use
MultiScraper applies rate limiting, retries and backoff by default so searches stay gentle on pixiv. Follow pixiv's terms of service and respect the rights of the artists whose work you collect.
